Lower State Gas began in 1953, when Herman and Betty Breland founded the company with a commitment to dependable service, hard work, and treating customers like family.
More than 70 years later, those same values remain at the heart of the business. Lower State Gas is still family owned and operated by the Breland family, with Charles and Patsy Breland, Tori Hay, Charlie Breland, and Barrett Breland involved in its continued operation.
From its beginnings as a local propane company, Lower State Gas has grown into a trusted provider of propane and HVAC services throughout South Carolina. While our services and customer base continue to grow, our commitment to personal, hometown service has never changed.
